The next step in the Google Ambush process is setting up an advertising account in Adwords through the Campaign Loader. Personally, I prefer to get a landing page up and running before I begin advertising through Adwords. However, as the creation of a dedicated landing page isn’t necessary, Google Ambush places the Campaign Loader before it.

The Campaign Loader is essentially a front end for Google Adwords. As such, it accomplishes its task. The layout is clean and simple, creating campaigns and ads is easy, and all the same elements are present as in Google Adwords.

So, is the Campaign Loader worth it?
Of the tools offered by Google Ambush, the Campaign Loader is probably the least interesting. Though it does a competent job of mimicking the functionality of Adword’s basic features, unlike most of the other Google Ambush tools, it doesn’t really offer anything outstanding in the way of extras especially well suited to Clickbank affiliates. While it is an advantage to having it available along with the rest of the tools, essentially making Google Ambush a one stop creation system, it doesn’t do much to actually improve productivity or decrease the time required to create affiliate sites.

Personally, I found it a bit odd that this step would be before the next step, creating a page for the affiliate product through the Landing Page Generator. This is probably because my personal approach to affiliate sales has always concentrated on having a good presell and Google ranking by creating focused landing pages rather than relying exclusively on advertising for traffic. That said, other affiliates don’t always bother with creating a landing page, especially if the sales copy of the product is particularly strong. This just happens to be one of the few places my personal approach deviates from the Google Ambush formula, as personally I always make my landing page first. This all isn’t a problem, since you aren’t railroaded into the exact procedure they recommend if you prefer working with a slightly different approach.
Personally, if the Campaign Loader were offered on its own, I wouldn’t buy it. That said, considering that virtually all of the affiliate campaign process can be performed through the Google Ambush site, its inclusion makes logical sense. Since you’re going to be using the tools through Google Ambush, having the Adwords interface available through the site is helpful, though nowhere near as useful as the specialized features offered by the other tools.
