Google Ambush Review Part 5- Tracking Tool

So, a good product has been selected, proper emphasis has been placed on the right keywords which have been advertised correctly, and a nice new landing page for the product has been created.  It looks like the site is a success, and sales are starting to come in.  All the work’s done, right?

Wrong.  A lot of people think this, but…

To really make money on affiliate sales you have to carefully track what works and what doesn’t, then adjust your sales pitch and advertising to compensate.  It just isn’t possible to get the whole thing down in one go without any problems, and even if things are running smoothly right at the beginning there’s always room for improvement.  This is another area where advanced affiliates really set themselves apart from novices, and the Google Ambush system is completely justified in stressing the importance of statistically tracking site traffic.

So you’ve got to do tracking, but is the Tracking Tool the best thing for the job?

Unfortunately, like the Campaign Loader, the Tracking Tool is essentially just an interface that connects to another system.  While it’s still useful since you can access all your tools through a single site, it doesn’t really improve productivity as much as it could.  You can easily tell what sort of keywords your site contains, what countries your visitors are from, and your sales statistics, but those are all basic features.  Compared to the more speciliazed tools within the Google Ambush package, the Tracking Tool is something of a letdown.

That said, it isn’t bad, just uninspired.  As a front end for ClickBank, it certainly works all right, and offers up the same basic information, but it doesn’t really go any further than what ClickBank already offers to affiliates in terms of visitor statistics.
